Central Coast (NSW) training for professionals: Supporting people with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders and complex neurodivergence Tuggerah, 1 & 2nd September, 2025
Hi everyone,
I’m please to announce that I am taking a road trip to Tuggerah, NSW Central Coast to run two FASD training days in early September! This training is suitable for all professionals interested in learning more about FASD and complex neurodiversity including:
-
case workers
-
positive behaviour support practitioners
-
psychologists
-
social workers
-
speech therapists
-
occupational therapists
-
pediatricians
-
GP’s
-
justice and correctional staff
-
Out-of-home care managers and staff
This training includes updated information about the new Australian Diagnostic Guidelines including the Indignenous FASD framework. Participants will also gain knowledge about FASD, how it is diagnosed but most importantly, how it can be understood from a brain-based perspective, and how this information can be used to understand complex behavioural symptoms such as confabulation, perseveration, aggression, sexualised behaviours and more. The day includes updated information and research about FASD and complex neurodivergence but also provides a range of practical resources and skill building exercises to help participants develop confidence in designing and implementing sucessful interventions. In particular, particular participants will learn how they can use the “Ability wheel” to understand, educate, advocate and design brain-based interventions!
Cost = $345 (+GST). 9am - 4:30 pm.
